I just watched a man release every Pokemon he caught except for a level 5 Magikarp, waste all of his money and throw away all of his items at the Pokemon center just before the elite four in Pokemon red in order to trap himself in an unwinnable game. He couldn’t beat the elite 4 with a level 5 magikarp, and it couldn’t learn the hm moves necessary to leave victory road, and Magikarp only knew splash and had absolutely no chance of beating the level 40ish Pokemon there so… This guy wanders around victory road hoping a Geodude or Graveler would use selfdestruct or explosion in the first turn of an encounter and miss his Magikarp, which is technically possible because even moves with a 100% hitrate have a 1/256 chance to still miss. It happened eventually, and he beat the elite four with a level 100 gyarados

For some context, this is from a video series called “SoftLockPicking” where a guy’s followers come up with challenges to get him stuck in an unwinnable game and he tries to see if he can get out of them. Sort of a video game escape artist.

In complete seriousness, they need to make laws about ads that say they can take no more than one, maybe two, clicks/taps to close/skip. No more "wait 10 seconds until you can skip the video, wait 10 seconds until you can skip the fake playable ad, wait 5 seconds until you can close the 'download now' overlay, puts up a half-screen in-app appstore pop-up (which at least you can close immediately)." This should literally be illegal to do.
Edit: this is blowing up so I just wanted to add (haha ad) that this was my "reasonable request" I also think there should be way more and way stricter laws around all advertising in general. I think most advertising as we know it today should be abolished.

Adding to this post cause I really want to stress how much Kellie-Jay Keen/Posie Parker is NOT 'just some random transphobe'.
She has extreme power and influence in transphobic circles (both of the TERF and general right wing variety) and is on a whole other level to JKR when it comes to the stuff she says/supports (at least based on my knowledge at the time of writing).
For example, she does not believe that it is possible for a person to be trans, she wants men to go in to women's bathrooms for the sole purpose of shooting anyone who seems trans/gnc, she believes that women's (and especially girl's) access to abortion should be greatly limited, she's the origin of the phrase 'woman = adult human female', she holds no claim to the word feminist and actively identifies as a transphobe, she often let's far-right/nazi groups attend and 'protect' her events, etc.

Some of y'all really think that JKR is the final boss of transphobia and I'm here to tell you that she absolutely is not. Honestly I don't even think that KJK is the final boss. The goal of the trans rights movement should always be actually improving the lives of trans people, some of that work is reducing the impact of transphobic influencers, but the majority of that work is in improving access to transition, reducing the numbers of trans hate crimes, supporting anti-discrimination laws/cases, etc.
New anti-AI tool from the team developing Glaze that looks to poison prompts and ruin data sets entirely.
The tool can go so far as to trick AI into generating things it didn't ask for. 50 "poisoned" images of dogs into a data set yield typical errors companies have been working to get rid of: weird proportions, extra limbs, etc. When they added 300 samples, it was drastic enough to make a data set that was trained to generate "dogs" into "cats" making the tool basically useless.
It's not out yet, but they're adding it to Glaze and they intend on making it open source.
